Asking a Seller for a Custom Piece

KinkMarket · · 3 min read

Many sellers on KinkMarket are happy to make something just for you, whether that is a particular outfit, a set of pictures or an item worn in a certain way. The way you ask makes a real difference. A clear, polite first message gets a faster answer and a better result.

Check the shop first

Look at what the seller already offers and read any notes in their profile. Some list the kinds of custom work they take and the kinds they do not. Asking for something they have already ruled out wastes both your time and theirs.

Say exactly what you want

Describe the item or set in a few plain sentences: what it is, any colours or details that matter, and how you would like it worn or photographed. Specific requests are easier to price and easier to get right than vague ones.

Mention your timing

If you need it by a certain date, say so at the start. Custom work takes longer than a standard order, and a seller can only plan around a deadline they know about.

Expect to pay more than the listing price

Something made for you takes extra time and planning, so it usually costs more than a similar item already in the shop. Let the seller name the price rather than opening with a low offer. If it is more than you hoped, it is fine to say thank you and leave it there.

Pay before the work starts

Most sellers ask for payment up front for custom pieces, because the result cannot be sold to anyone else. That is normal and fair, so do not be surprised when you are asked.

Respect a no

Every seller decides what she is comfortable making. If a request is declined, accept it gracefully. Polite buyers are remembered, and that goodwill counts the next time you ask.
