Requesting an Extra Picture

KinkMarket · · 3 min read

Listing photos show a lot, but not always the one detail you care about. Maybe you want to see the back of a piece, the lace up close or how a colour looks in daylight. Most sellers are happy to help, and a short, polite request is usually all it takes.

Check the listing first

Before you ask, scroll through every photo and read the whole description. The answer is sometimes already there, and sellers appreciate buyers who have looked carefully.

Be specific about what you want to see

A clear request is easier to answer than a general one. Could you show the label with the size on it is much more helpful than can I see more photos. If there are two things you would like to see, ask for both in the same message.

Keep it friendly and short

A sentence or two is enough. Say hello, mention the item you are asking about and say what you would like to see. A thank you at the end goes a long way.

Give the seller a little time

Taking a new photo means finding the item, setting it up and uploading the picture. That may not happen within minutes. A day or so is a fair wait, especially at busy times.

Respect what a seller can and cannot share

Some sellers keep certain photos for paid content or prefer not to share extra pictures at all. If they say no, that is their choice to make, and you can still decide based on what the listing shows.

Let them know what you decided

Whether you buy or not, a quick reply to say thank you is a kind way to finish the conversation.
