The wear time is long by default, the preparation is nothing, and the buyer is usually looking for something softer and more personal than gym wear or heels. What the category covers

Pyjama sets, nightdresses, sleep shirts, bed socks, dressing gowns, oversized t shirts and loungewear you wear around the house. The oversized t shirt you have slept in for two years is worth more than a new set you wore once. Age and softness are features here, not flaws.

Long wears change the maths

Nightwear supports multi night wears in a way daywear does not. Three, five, seven nights in the same shirt is normal and buyers ask for it. That means one item can carry a week of wear and sell at a much higher price than a single day item, without you doing anything extra. This is the quietest version of turning first sales into steady income: same effort, better rate.

Photographing sleepwear

Soft light suits this category. Morning daylight, an unmade bed, worn rather than folded. The mood is comfort and intimacy, not performance. Show the fabric close up, show it on you, and keep the background plain enough that it does not identify your home. Three or four images is enough.

Pricing by nights, not days

Price a single night modestly, then scale. Two nights, five nights, a full week, each with a clear price. A seven night wear of a favourite sleep shirt sits comfortably at the top of your range because it is genuinely rare and genuinely personal. Bed socks slot in as a cheap add on that costs you nothing to include.

Managing a long wear order

Tell the buyer the date it will post. A seven night wear means they wait a week, so set that expectation at the point of sale rather than after. Send a short update mid wear if the buyer likes contact. Bag it the morning after the last night and post that day.

Take the shirt you slept in last night, photograph it in this morning's light, and list it as a single night wear with a three night and seven night option priced above it.
