The First Reply Sets the Whole Tone

The first message you send back to a new buyer does more work than almost any other sentence you will write for them. Before they have received anything, before they know whether the finished piece will be good, they are reading that first reply and deciding what kind of seller they are dealing with.

A slow, generic reply, copied from a template with the wrong name still visible, tells a buyer they are one of many and will be treated accordingly. A reply that is prompt, specific to what they actually asked, and confident about what happens next tells them the opposite, and it costs you nothing extra beyond the attention of actually reading their message properly.

Buyers who have never bought from you before have no track record to judge you on except that first exchange. They cannot see your other happy customers in the moment they are deciding whether to trust you with their money. They can only see how you handled the first thirty seconds of contact, and they extrapolate everything else from it.

This is why the tone of the first reply matters more than its length. A short, warm, precise answer beats a long, vague, friendly one, because precision reads as competence and vagueness reads as uncertainty, however kindly it is phrased. Confirm exactly what they are getting, roughly when, and how, in plain terms, before anything else.

It is worth rereading your own standard opening message the way a stranger would see it for the first time. If it would not make you want to pay a stranger, it is worth rewriting before the next new buyer arrives, because they will not wait for you to notice on your own.
