Writing a Review the Next Buyer Can Use

KinkCoach · · 3 min read

Most reviews say lovely, thank you. That is kind and it tells the next buyer nothing at all. A review that takes two extra minutes is genuinely useful to everybody, including you when you come back.

Say what happened, not how you felt

Feelings are hard to act on. Facts are not. What you ordered, what turned up, and whether the two matched is the whole job. If it was exactly as described, say so plainly, because that is the single thing every nervous first time buyer is looking for.

Timing is the most useful thing you know

You are the only person who can say how long it took from paying to opening the parcel. Sellers cannot see it from their side with any accuracy and other buyers cannot see it at all. Give the real number of days rather than fast or slow, which mean different things to different people.

Mention the packaging

Discretion is the quiet worry behind most first orders and almost nobody writes about it. Saying that it arrived in a plain outer with nothing on the label answers a question the next buyer is too embarrassed to ask.

If something went wrong, say what she did about it

A problem handled well is better evidence than nothing going wrong at all. Anyone can look good on an easy order. Write down what happened and how quickly she sorted it, and leave the seller with the reputation she actually earned.
